JOB SUMMARY:
SEND International is a Christian missions organization focused on sending missionaries well to plant reproducing churches among unreached people groups around the world. The SEND International US Office is looking for a Marketing Manager to join the team.
The Marketing Manager will be the center point for coordinating and executing SEND US marketing efforts, collaborating with stakeholders to bring forth SEND’s mission through its message.
The manager will report to the Marketing Director and work closely with the Directors of Mobilization and Fund Development in the US office, and with various vendors and partners. While marketing is a function at the US office, it also plays a supporting role in other departments.
CONTRACT POSITION DETAILS:
- 12-month contract role (30 hours/week).
- Potential extension.
- Hybrid role (Farmington Hills office and remote), with two in-office days per week and occasional third day to accommodate for meetings and special events.
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:
Ideation & Planning
- Brand guardianship—ensures consistency of SEND’s voice, visuals, and values across all channels, while protecting and strengthening SEND’s reputation. Including ensuring content adheres to security measures for missionaries in sensitive areas.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Director to align or adapt marketing messaging and materials from the International Office for SEND US needs.
- Ideate tactics and activities based on strategies and long-term goals set at the director’s level.
- Set short-term marketing objectives for marketing’s own efforts and the other areas that marketing supports.
Project Management & Coordination
- Oversee and manage the integrated marketing plan, from channels (print, web, email, social media, etc.) to vendors, budgets and timelines.
- Project management for marketing deliverables, coordinating with internal and external parties.
- Coordinate the marketing needs required by People Care & Development, Mobilization, and Fund Development strategies and scheduling of projects and resources.
- Coordinate and communicate regular team updates, ensuring alignment and efficiency in project delivery. This includes facilitating team meetings, preparing reports, and communications.
Implementation
- Oversee the development of marketing assets including website, email, social media, video, photography, etc. as needed.
- Manage the website and create/update (using CMS system) as needed.
- Participate in writing fund development communications.
- Develop metrics for campaign effectiveness, conduct analysis and report key findings.
- Collaborate with Marketing Director to apply learnings from metrics to grow audiences and engagement across channels.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience working cross-functionally to support multiple departments and initiatives.
- Experience in a non-profit organization, missions, or Christian ministry, will be considered an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal & collaborative communicator, written, and verbal.
- Messaging and writing: developing or refining campaign copy (e.g. emails, appeals, web pages, stories, video scripts, recruitment messaging).
- Resourceful, adaptable, and a continuous learner who observes marketing/communication trends, applies timely tactics, and helps the team stay effective in a changing landscape.
- Working knowledge of digital marketing tools and tactics, customer relationship management (CRM) and content management system (CMS) platforms.
- Familiarity with Mailchimp, donor management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Meta Business Suite, Canva, Monday.com, YouTube, Vimeo, LinkedIn, Duda website manager, Google suite (analytics, ads, drive, search console).
- Familiarity or experience with creative development and storytelling - web, print, video, marketing copy, etc.
- Integrated thinking: able to connect campaigns across channels (web, social, email, video, print, PR) so they reinforce one another and strengthen SEND’s overall marketing communications strategy, rather than viewing each channel in isolation.
- Acquisition-focused growth mindset: proactively considering opportunities to increase missionary recruitment and donors.
