Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in literacy, math, science, and social studies.
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior guidance strategies.
- Assess student progress regularly using formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing where applicable.
- Incorporate learning technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student engagement and understanding.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to support individual learning needs, including special education and early intervention programs.
- Mentor new teachers or teaching assistants, providing guidance on curriculum development, classroom management, and instructional best practices.
- Support students’ social-emotional development by implementing behavior management techniques and promoting inclusive classroom culture.
Skills
- Proven experience in classroom teaching for early elementary grades with strong classroom management skills.
- Expertise in curriculum development across core subjects such as literacy education, math, and science.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education practices, and special education strategies including working with children with autism.
- Proficiency in learning technology tools to facilitate interactive lessons and digital assessments.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and administration.
- Ability to adapt lesson plans for diverse learners using differentiated instruction techniques like Montessori or other educational philosophies.

Pay: $63,648.00 - $87,495.00 per year
