Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic 1st-3rd Grade Teacher to join our small Learning Pod of 5 students, dedicated to fostering a nurturing and engaging educational environment for young learners. In this role, you will design and implement dynamic lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles, promote literacy and numeracy skills, and support social-emotional development. Your enthusiasm for early elementary education will inspire students to explore, discover, and grow academically and personally. Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across subjects such as literacy, math, science, and social studies
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, respect, and active participation
- Implement classroom management strategies to maintain discipline and promote a safe learning space
- Incorporate learning technology tools to enhance instructional effectiveness and student engagement
- Support students’ social-emotional growth through mentoring, behavior management, and personalized attention
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of children with diverse learning abilities, including those with autism or requiring early intervention
- Assess student progress regularly using formative and standardized testing; provide feedback to students and parents
- Collaborate with families to support student success and address individual needs through tutoring or additional support sessions
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, lesson plans, and behavioral observations
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to early childhood education, special education strategies, Montessori or other pedagogical approaches
Skills
- Proven classroom experience working with children in grades 1 through 3 within private or small group settings
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early elementary education best practices
- Excellent communication skills for working effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, literacy education, math instruction, and library services integration
- Ability to implement behavior management techniques that foster a respectful classroom environment
- Familiarity with learning technology platforms and tools for remote or hybrid instruction
- Experience working with individuals with autism or special needs; knowledge of early intervention strategies preferred
- Skills in proofreading, writing skills for creating educational materials, and developing differentiated lessons
- Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and assessment tools for young learners
- Demonstrated ability to mentor students individually or in small groups; experience in tutoring is advantageous
- Understanding of education administration tasks such as record keeping and compliance requirements
- Montessori certification is a PLUS, but we will sponsor the opportunity to get certified.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
