Job Description

We are currently recruiting a 1st Engineer Officer to join the Engine Department on board one of our cruise vessels.
The 1st Engineer Officer assists the Chief Engineer in managing and maintaining all technical operations of the ship to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with international regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor the performance of machinery and technical systems in the Engine Department.
• Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with international maritime and environmental standards.
• Manage engine room staff, including daily work schedules and training.
• Maintain engine logs, reports, and technical documentation.
• Support the Chief Engineer in safety drills, inspections, and audits.

Requirements

• Valid STCW certificates and COC (Chief Engineer Officer – Unlimited / 1st Engineer Officer License).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position on passenger or cruise vessels.
• Good command of English (both spoken and written).
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Previous experience with international crews is an advantage.
