Location: McKinney, TX 75070, USA

Note: Applicants should be located in or near McKinney, TX 75070. Tutors within approximately 5–15 miles of the area are encouraged to apply, including nearby communities such as Frisco (75033, 75034, 75036), Allen (75002, 75013), Plano (75023, 75024, 75025, 75074), and Prosper (75078).

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct individualized tutoring sessions focused on early elementary reading and writing skills.
• Support development of phonics, reading comprehension, sentence structure, and basic writing fluency.
• Encourage confidence-building alongside academic growth, especially in foundational literacy skills.
• Adjust instruction based on the student’s learning style, pace, and engagement level.
• Prepare structured, age-appropriate, and engaging lesson materials for each session.
• Maintain a consistent, supportive, and encouraging learning environment.
• Travel to the designated tutoring location, including in-home or approved meeting spaces.
• Provide regular updates on student progress and coordinate with the assigned team lead regarding scheduling.

Schedule:

• Monday to Thursday, between 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
• Approximately 2 hours per week

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or a related field preferred
• Prior experience in tutoring or teaching elementary students is an advantage
• Strong understanding of early literacy and foundational writing instruction
• Patient, dependable, and able to work effectively with young learners
• Ability to modify teaching strategies based on individual student needs
• Must have reliable transportation if travel is required
• Must reside near or within commuting distance of McKinney, TX

Licensing / Certification Requirements:

• Teaching Certification is a plus but not a requirement

Compensation:

• $27.00 – $33.00 per hour
