1st Grade Teacher (2025-2026)

Your Role

As a Primary School Teacher (Grades 1–2), you will:

  • Design and implement instruction in core subjects aligned to state and national standards.
  • Support curriculum formation, implementation, and ongoing evaluation.
  • Engage fully in the school’s mentor program, reflecting regularly and being receptive to feedback and professional growth.
  • Create and maintain a joyful, safe, and engaging classroom environment rooted in our school values.
  • Work collaboratively with grade-level teammates, support staff, and administration to align instruction and ensure student success.
  • Demonstrate effective planning and preparation for differentiated instruction.
  • Maintain student data and records that reflect individual growth and learning patterns.
  • Communicate regularly with families through tools such as PowerSchool, Class Dojo, email, and phone calls.
  • Uphold high standards for personal conduct, punctuality, and professionalism.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Valid teaching certification preferred
  • Prior teaching experience or a demonstrated willingness to grow in a differentiated learning environment
  • Commitment to Catholic education and the values of St. Sylvester School

Pay: $37,314.00 - $54,292.00 per year
