Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team on the first shift, Monday through Friday, with no weekend requirements. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Support patients with medication administration under supervision and ensure adherence to medication protocols.
- Assist healthcare professionals with clinical procedures including catheter care, phlebotomy, and aseptic techniques as needed.
- Maintain a safe environment by utilizing equipment such as Hoyer lifts and adhering to infection control standards.
- Document patient information thoroughly in medical records while respecting HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans across various settings such as long-term care, assisted living, or hospital environments.
- Engage with patients experiencing complex conditions like dementia or Alzheimer's disease, providing specialized memory care support.
Qualifications
- Valid CNA certification with current licensure in the applicable state or region.
- Prior experience working in senior care, long-term care facilities, hospitals, or similar healthcare environments is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with EMR systems
- Ability to perform tasks requiring physical strength and stamina, including lifting and transferring patients using Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices.
