Position Summary:
The Machine Operator – Production Machining CNC is responsible for operating multi-purpose numerically controlled machines, measuring parts, and making necessary offset modifications to maintain quality standards. This role requires strong attention to detail and a mechanical mindset to support the daily machining operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Review setup sheets and specifications to determine setup operations and part dimensions.
  • Assemble and position cutting tools in machine spindles or magazines as directed.
  • Operate machines by activating controls and monitoring for accuracy and performance.
  • Change cutting tools and adjust clamps as necessary.
  • Observe machine operation and inspect workpieces using micrometers, dial indicators, and gauges.
  • Compare finished parts to blueprints and report discrepancies to the Supervisor.
  • Perform other customer- or product-driven duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • 6 months to 1 year of machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
Essential Skills:
  • Blueprint reading
  • Machining operations
  • Basic mathematics
  • SPC (Statistical Process Control)
  • Proficient use of gauges, micrometers, and calipers
  • Background in CNC programming
