WHAT THIS ROLE WILL BE DOING:

  • Supervising maintenance staff in the day-to-day operation of the department.
  • Serves as a resource to team members, providing knowledge, experience, motivation, support and advice.
  • Use Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) to schedule and ensure proper completion of all Emergency (EM), Corrective (CM), and Preventive (PM) work orders.
  • Catalog and maintain an inventory of critical and other repair parts to ensure uninterrupted productivity.
  • Determine the most cost-effective repair or upgrade, disassemble equipment, repair defective components, reassemble and start-up equipment.
  • Documents maintenance repairs and equipment histories.
  • Responsibility for PM systems, inspection routines, inventory control, and job scheduling.
  • Optimize Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules to ensure asset longevity.
  • Installs and modifies machinery and equipment, including one-off assignments, as required by production, engineering, and other personnel.
  • Services and repairs programmable logic controllers (PLCs), motors, and drives.
  • Assembles and maintains: electrical and electronic devices and systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and other production mechanical systems, as necessary.
  • Repairs or replaces-in-kind existing production and material handling equipment.

A WSC Maintenance Supervisor will possess and demonstrate:

  • The ability to read and interpret electrical / electronic schematics, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams, equipment service manuals, and operating manuals.
  • The ability to diagnose and repair or replace-in-kind electromechanical systems and the use of electromechanical tools and test equipment.
  • Close interaction and the ability to communicate with all Plant teams such as Production and Distribution.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Personal computer operation.
  • Established safety policies, standards, practices, and procedures.

Education / Position Requirements:

  • Minimum three years’ experience in industrial maintenance and three years’ experience plant-based maintenance leadership. Associate of Arts degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology preferred.
  • Travel as maintenance necessitated to various locations.
  • Physical Requirements – ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
  • Demonstrated experience with any or all of the following is a strong plus:
    • AC / DC Drives
    • Automation
    • Chain / Belt Conveyors
    • CNC programming
    • Hydraulics
    • Instrumentation
    • Literacy in blueprints and schematics
    • Pneumatics
    • Power Distribution
    • Welding
