Monday - Thursday 6am - 4:30pm, overtime as needed!
Position Summary: Maintains quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products; recording quality results
Essential Functions:
- Perform the receiving inspection activities in compliance with company workmanship standards
- Control incoming, in-process, and final inspection
- Examine items for defects in material, work, and damage occurring between departments
- Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data
- Work with engineers, quality personnel, and others as required
- Keep area clean and organized
- Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task
- Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency. However, should be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Approve or reject items and records’ inspections information
- May inspect outgoing production line parts and materials
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
- Must maintain excellent attendance, and expect to work overtime if the need requires
- Input and maintain data in ERP computer system/Global
- Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed
- Complete paperwork/job sheets required for area
- Assist in other areas as needed
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
- Ability to interpret blueprints
- Computer skills
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Follow written and verbal instructions
- Flexibility based on shop production schedules
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in an effective way
- Basic Math and Geometry/Trigonometry
Environmental Conditions:
- Humidity level may be elevated during summer months
- Exposure to moderate noise level
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently
- Able to stand on your feet for at least ten hours a day
- Able to use dial or digital calipers
