Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods to support holistic development
• Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management
• Engage children in interactive lessons focused on childhood development milestones, social skills, and early intervention strategies
• Utilize classroom management techniques to maintain a safe, organized, and stimulating learning space for toddlers
• Collaborate with families to share progress updates, discuss individual needs related to special education or child welfare, and foster strong communication skills
• Conduct assessments aligned with standardized testing where applicable to monitor developmental progress
• Incorporate activities that promote motor skills, cognitive growth, emotional regulation, and early literacy skills such as reading readiness and writing fundamentals

Requirements

• Proven experience working with children aged 2-4 years in a daycare or preschool setting with classroom experience in early childhood education
• Knowledge of curriculum development tailored for toddlers and preschoolers, including Montessori or similar educational philosophies
• Strong understanding of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies
• Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention programs, and child welfare practices
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members effectively
• Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate math, literacy education, physical activities, and tutoring as needed
• Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is preferred; bilingual abilities are a plus

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
