Role Overview
The Concert Videographer is responsible for the end-to-end technical production of District 28 musical performances. This role ensures that every concert is captured with high-fidelity audio and video, streamed live for the community, and archived for future use. The ideal candidate is organized, technically savvy with professional editing software, and capable of managing equipment in a fast-paced live environment.
Performance Responsibilities:
Live Production & On-Site Management

Pre-Event Logistics: Arrive at least 60 minutes prior to performance to secure optimal placement before audience arrival

Technical Setup: Assemble and calibrate professional cameras, lenses, and external microphones

Quality Assurance: Perform comprehensive hardware and signal tests (typically 40 minutes) to ensure stream stability and audio clarity

Live Capture: Manage the recording and live-streaming of performances, monitoring feeds for technical consistency

Equipment Care: "Strike" (tear down) all gear post-concert, ensuring inventory is accounted for and stored securely in the music office
Post-Production & Digital Asset Management

YouTube Channel Management: Oversee the digital distribution pipeline, including metadata optimization (SEO tags), timestamping for easy navigation, and visibility settings

Archiving: Maintain the physical media library by transferring high-resolution master files to the District’s hardware drives (HD) for long-term record keeping
