- Provide guidance and support for one team of 4-6 students composed of 3-5th graders from Brandt, Connors, or Wallace Elementary Schools.
- Facilitate weekly after-school sessions, ensuring students document their progress in Engineering Logbooks.
- Encourage teamwork, innovation, and problem-solving aligned to STEM and engineering practices
- Collaborate, communicate, and organize weekly sessions with NJIT Student Mentors.
- Attend a live,virtual professional development workshop on 01/29/2026, 3:30 - 4:30 pm.
- Participate in a hands-on session with the provided technology that will be used for the challenge prior to the challenge kick-off.
- Accompany and support the student team during the on-campus Challenge Day at NJIT on Thursday, March 19, 2026 (8:30 AM–3:00 PM).

We are looking for 3 coaches that will each lead one school-based eSTEM team. The program will run from January through March 2026, not to exceed 25 hours per coach.
Responsibilities:
Certification
Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics Content Area Teachers (Preferred) and NJDOE certificate holders are encouraged to apply.
