Description
Rush-Henrietta seeks an experienced inclusive educator to be responsible for interventions to support the academic, behavioral and social development of students throughout the district. Candidates should possess strong knowledge of crisis intervention, culturally responsive practices, and proficiency in developing and monitoring behavioral assessments, behavioral analysis, and intervention plans. The behavior specialist will collaborate with teachers, school teams and families, and will provide consultation and professional development to teachers and paraprofessionals to support students' social, academic and behavioral growth. The position may include CSE chair responsibilities as assigned, and collaboration on out-of-district placements. The specialist reports to the Director of Special Education.
Salary
Highly competitive, per Rush-Henrietta Teachers' Contract.
Qualifications
New York State Certification as a School Psychologist, Special Education Teacher, or Speech Language Teacher is required. Additionally, certification (or eligibility) as a Licensed or Certified Behavior Analyst is preferred. Candidates of diverse backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.
