The Role: Full-Time Emergency Medicine APP/APRN

Located at Community Hospital, Torrington WY this position is best suited for providers with at least 2 years of experience as an advanced practitioner in emergency medicine and ideally at least 1 year working in rural emergency medicine. This is a mild-paced 24-hour shift position. You must not only be experienced but also comfortable working solo. This opportunity is for a Full-Time W2 provider only, no locums, no 1099.

What You’ll Do

• Manage patient flow and care in the emergency department.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations, interpret diagnostics, initiate treatment plans, and coordinate continuity across care settings.
• Perform full scope of ED procedures (suturing, splinting, reductions, etc.).
• Stabilize and triage emergencies, manage admissions, and ensure seamless transitions between settings
• Document accurately and collaborate with nursing and on-call physician support.

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Has ≥2 years of Emergency Department APP experience (rural or community hospital preferred).
• – do not apply you will NOT be considered.
• Comfortable working as the solo provider in a rural ED with phone backup.
• Holds active Wyoming licensing (or is eligible), plus current ACLS, BLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications.
• Professional, reliable, and legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• No need to live locally—practitioners currently travel to Torrington and return home following their shifts. (Though living within the state of Wyoming is preferred)

Pay & Benefits

We’re proud to offer clear, fair, and transparent compensation:

Hourly Pay

• Full-Time: $93.3/hr. ($11,196/month for only 5 days of work!)

Promotion:

Those willing to also cross credentials to pick up shifts monthly on a PRN basis at our hospital in Cheyenne will be eligible for a Sign on bonus! (No bonus is available otherwise for this opportunity)

Community Hospital opened its doors in 1977 as a critical access hospital for southeast Wyoming and the bordering Nebraska communities. Having recently completed a $27 million remodel and expansion, this incredible facility has added 13,000 square feet and fully renovated and upgraded critical access area.

• Annual ED volume: ~3,000 visits.
• EMR: Epic.
• Typical schedule: 24-hour shifts , 5 shifts per month is considered full time.
