26' Box Truck Driver/Commercial Furniture Installer

Come join our team as local straight truck driver and be part of one of the largest and fastest growing furniture installation companies in New England.

As a driver/installer you will be in charge of loading/unloading our 26' box trucks, conducting daily inspections of your vehicle, and helping install crews as needed.

Duties:

• Inspecting that loads are correct and properly secured prior to departure
• Documenting daily truck inspections before departures
• Following state and federal driving laws, including commercial weigh stations
• Requesting the help of ground guides when necessary to maneuver box trucks in tight spaces
• Labeling any product that is being returned to the warehouse
• Stopping at recycling/trash facilities on the way back from jobsites as deemed necessary/efficient
• Entering their own hours as well as the hours of any ride-alongs into our software program
• Assisting with unloads, installs, and load-outs in the field as necessary

Requirements:

• Able to read/write and communicate effectively in English
• Physically able to lift, push and pull up to 75 lbs
• Have a clean driving record and a valid drivers license
• 1 year of driving experience, and the ability/confidence to drive a 26' box truck in the area's major cities
• Availability to work weekdays and occasional weekends
• Be at least 21 years old
• Able to pass a drug test, background check and DOT physical

• This is not a 9 to 5 job. Start and end times will vary daily. Candidates must be flexible and able to work long days when necessary
• There may be days where our schedule does not require all of our trucks going out- in this case you will be required to go out into the field as an installer and there is a difference in how our installers and drivers get paid.
