Job Overview: Plans, initiates, and carries to completion, clerical, secretarial and administrative activities
related to the operation of the school's library Job Functions:
Maintains student library use records and accounts including overdue notices and the
collection of fines
Shelves books and other library materials
Maintains library materials inventory
Receives and processes new library materials Supervises and trains student library aides
Supervises students in the library
Utilize library management system, word processing software and web-based suites
proficiently
Run reports, bibliographies, lists and indexes as assigned
Process and catalog library materials
Organize and catalog equipment
Maintain library collection; including locating and retrieving books, shelving books, and
making sure books are in order
Aide in the occasional lifting of heavy boxes, A/V equipment, and library furniture
Coordinate library loans
Assist with inventory as needed
Laminate teacher materials and replace rolls
Follow district confidentiality policy
Communicate effectively on phone and via email
Assist students and staff in locating and using library resources
Maintain a clean, orderly, and welcoming environment
Assist in creation of resource displays, exhibits and promotional materials
