Duties

Safely operate a 26ft box truck for local, regional and over-the-road deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks as needed, ensuring proper securing of loads
Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction
Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries and pickups
Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs, delivery receipts, and route sheets
Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition and report any maintenance issues promptly

Qualifications

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with box trucks or similar vehicles
Strong knowledge of driving regulations and safety procedures for heavy vehicles
Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude
Familiarity with route driving and load securing techniques
Physical stamina to handle moving goods and perform manual tasks throughout the shift
