About the Role:
At OMQ, the 2D Art Director leads all visual aspects of two-dimensional designs within OMQ events. The role supervises both Senior and Junior Designers, ensuring that all outputs align with the brand identity and overall creative concept. The 2D Art Director provides the necessary artistic direction to achieve the highest quality standards while reviewing and approving all deliverables before final sign-off.
Key Responsibilities:

Translate the overall creative direction (provided by the Creative Director) into 2D design guidelines for each project.

Oversee the production of all 2D materials: invitations, event branding, signage, exhibition materials, pitch decks, screen interfaces, and digital assets.

Ensure all designs adhere to approved brand guidelines.

Direct and monitor the 2D design team (Senior and Junior Designers), distributing tasks according to skills and capacity.

Review and approve final files for print or digital delivery, ensuring compliance with technical specifications (dimensions, margins, colors, resolution).

Coordinate with the 3D Art Director to ensure harmony between 2D visual elements and spatial/3D components.

Collaborate with the Event Concept Strategist to translate concepts into clear visual language.

Conduct daily follow-ups with the Traffic Coordinator to manage priorities and deadlines.

Address client or production feedback promptly and accurately, maintaining proper version control.

Develop a library of ready-to-use templates and a database of approved visual assets for future reuse.

Monitor local and global graphic design trends and propose relevant updates to enhance OMQ’s visual identity.
Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Applied Arts, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing for events, exhibitions, or marketing materials.

Proficiency in design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).

Strong knowledge of color systems, printing processes, dimensions, and file preparation for print.

Proven leadership, planning, and team guidance skills.

Ability to present innovative ideas and deliver professional visual solutions.

Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure.

Language: Native Arabic fluency – Very good English proficiency.
