2D Character Animator

The Role

We are looking for a talented and imaginative 2D Animator to join our creative team. In this role, you will breathe life into characters, environments, and graphics. You will be working mainly on character animation and other motion graphics to create high-quality animations that align with our visual style and storytelling goals.

The ideal candidate has a strong grasp of the 12 principles of animation, character actions and emotions, a keen eye for timing, and a portfolio demonstrating versatility in 2D motion.

Key Responsibilities

Create High-Quality Animation: Produce fluid, expressive, and high-quality 2D animations of character, FX or motion graphics based on storyboards and creative briefs.

Rigging: Construct and rig 2D characters for fluid and flawless animation.

Collaboration: Work closely with illustrators and designers to ensure assets are optimized for animation.

Clean-up & Polishing: Handle line work, coloring, and final compositing to ensure a polished final look.

Asset Management: Organize and manage animation assets and project files according to studio standards.

Deadlines: Manage time effectively to meet production schedules without compromising quality.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in 2D animation, expert in character animation. and can create stunning FX.

Portfolio: A strong demo reel/portfolio showcasing a variety of animation styles, emphasizing timing, weight, and acting.

Artistic Fundamentals: Solid understanding of anatomy, perspective, composition, and color theory.

Technical Proficiency: Mastery of industry-standard software (see below).

Communication: Ability to take direction, adapt to feedback, and communicate creative ideas clearly.

Software Proficiency:

Must Haves:: Moho, Adobe After Effects,, Adobe Animate is a plus. 

Good to Haves: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Blender (for 2D/3D integration).

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Motion Graphics (typography and logo animation etc.). 

Character animation (acting with clear emotions and body language)

Understanding of traditional frame-by-frame animation.
