2D Character Designer + Animator

At Creed, we are building the first AI companions for the 2.4 billion Christians globally. We launched on the app store about 2 months ago and have seen rapid growth. We just raised a seed round from some of the top investors in the world, including Andreesen Horowitz (a16z).

We’re looking for a 2D Character Designer & Animator to bring our cast of characters to life. You’ll craft expressive designs and animations that feel deeply human — characters that can make someone smile, think, or even pray. You’ll collaborate closely with our product, design, and AI teams to define the look, movement, and emotional range of Creed’s expanding universe.

What You’ll Do

• Design original 2D characters inspired by Biblical figures, saints, and symbolic archetypes.
• Create turnarounds, expression sheets, and animation-ready assets.
• Animate character gestures, emotions, and micro-interactions for use across mobile and web.
• Collaborate with product designers and engineers to ensure smooth in-app integration.
• Help evolve the visual style and tone of the Creed brand.

What We’re Looking For

• 2–5+ years of experience in character design and 2D animation (studio or indie).
• Strong illustration and storytelling sensibility — you can communicate emotion through subtle motion.
• Proficiency in tools like Figmam Adobe and Rive
• Experience designing for digital products or games is a plus.
• Passion for creating work that’s warm, meaningful, and mission-driven.
