2d game artist

We’re creating a series of fun, story-based educational games for children (ages 5–10). Our current focus is on adventure games that combine learning with rich visual storytelling — featuring magical worlds, friendly animal characters, and engaging environments.

You’ll be joining a passionate team that values clarity, warmth, and creativity over noise and clutter. If you love building imaginative worlds that teach and inspire kids, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

Design and illustrate 2D game assets, including:

Characters (kids, animals, magical beings)

Backgrounds (foreground, midground, and background layers)

Props, portals, and interactive elements

UI elements (buttons, icons, menus)

Create consistent art styles across all scenes.

Collaborate closely with the creative director to refine art direction and feedback loops.

Prepare layered source files (PSD/AI) for integration into Unity/Phaser/HTML5 engines.

Requirements

Proven experience as a 2D Game Artist or Illustrator.

Strong portfolio showcasing work for kids’ games or animations.

Mastery of tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, or Krita.

Ability to create layered scenes (foreground, midground, background).

Strong sense of color, lighting, and composition.

Good communication skills and ability to follow visual briefs.

Bonus: Experience with vector + painterly hybrid styles or cartoon vector characters on painterly backgrounds.

Style Reference

We’re looking for art that feels:

Clean, readable, and emotionally warm.

Not too flat — characters should “pop” naturally from the background.
