Contract Duration: 6 Months (+/- 30 days)
Salary: EUR 6,626.41 (USD equivalent) ≈ ₺323,800 TRY per contract

Job Description

MSC Cruises is currently looking for qualified and motivated 2nd Engineer Officers to join our Engine Department on board luxury cruise ships.
You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of all engine room and auxiliary systems under the supervision of the 1st Engineer and Chief Engineer.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor propulsion and auxiliary machinery.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to company standards.
• Supervise engine ratings during duty watches.
• Maintain accurate logbooks and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all international safety and environmental regulations (ISM, MARPOL, SOLAS).
• Participate in emergency drills and safety training sessions.

Requirements

• Valid STCW certificates and OOW Engine license or higher.
• Previous experience as a 2nd Engineer or 3rd Engineer on passenger or cargo vessels.
• Good command of English (spoken and written).
• Valid seafarer’s medical certificate.
• Team player with problem-solving attitude and strong technical knowledge.
