We’re Hiring 2nd Level Telecom Engineers (Oman)

We are expanding our Managed Services operations in Oman and are looking for experienced 2nd Level Engineers to join our technical assurance and operations teams.

🔹 Open Positions

• Senior Engineer – L2 (EDA / Provisioning & Mediation)
• 2nd Level Operations Engineer – VAS

📡Role 1: Senior Engineer – L2 (EDA / Provisioning & Mediation)

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end 2nd Level technical support for Provisioning (EDA) and Mediation (EMM)
• O&M, health checks, alarms configuration, patching and upgrades
• Analyze and resolve production fallout orders (SQL, DB updates, XML)
• Troubleshoot provisioning & mediation flows impacting revenue
• Support testing of new deployments and system enhancements
• Handle Trouble Tickets & Change Requests as per SLA/WLA
• Coordinate with vendors, local SPOCs, and customization teams
• Provide 24x7 on-call support when required

Technical Skills

• Ericsson EDA / EMA / EMM system administration
• Strong Linux/UNIX, SQL & database knowledge
• Telecom core concepts (GSM / WCDMA)
• Provisioning & Order Management flows
• Basic knowledge of Java, Shell scripting, SOAP API, Git
• Experience with Business Objects / Citrix is a plus
• Experience: 5–7 years (minimum 2 years on EDA/EMA)

📡 Role 2: 2nd Level Operations Engineer – VAS

Key Responsibilities

• 2nd Level Incident, Fault & KPI troubleshooting
• Operations & maintenance of SMSC and VAS nodes
• Support SMS, USSD, MCN, OTA and VAS services
• Analyze system logs, performance reports and alarms
• Coordinate escalations with vendors and network teams
• Capture and analyze pcap traces (MAP, CAP, SMPP)
• Develop scripts and procedures for O&M optimization
• Participate in installation, commissioning and acceptance testing

Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience with Comviva SMSC, USSD, MCN, OTA
• Strong knowledge of SS7, SIGTRAN, Diameter, SIP, SMPP
• Linux administration & SQL databases (Oracle / MySQL / Sybase)
• Scripting: Shell / Python / Perl
• Integration with 3rd party systems (SOAP, HTTP, SMPP, SS7)
• Experience: 3–5 years

🎓 Qualifications (Both Roles)

• Degree in Telecommunications / Electrical Engineering / Computer Engineering / Computer Science
• Experience in Managed Services telecom operations
• Strong analytical, communication and teamwork skills
• Customer-focused with ability to work under pressure
