2nd Shift Coordinator

Hours: 2-11pm with an hour meal break, Monday-Friday

Position Summary:

As a 2nd Shift Transportation Coordinator at Precision Freight, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth coordination of shipments from start to finish. Working with the truckload and expedite divisions, you will gain invaluable educational experience on working with carriers and customers.

What You'll Do:

• Process customer orders and coordinate pick-up and delivery schedules.
• Work closely with shippers, carriers, and dispatchers to manage schedules and ensure timely delivery of loads.
• Monitor freight progress and report shipment status to relevant parties, keeping stakeholders updated in real time.
• Address freight discrepancies quickly and efficiently, ensuring solutions are implemented to maintain smooth operations.
• Identify and contact qualified carriers to secure the best freight services for our clients.
• Ensure that all freight paperwork is completed accurately and approved, ensuring adherence to both client and company standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring to the Table:

• Familiarity with the logistics industry preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, paired with the ability to coordinate efficiently with carriers, customers, and team members.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple tasks with ease.
• Creativity and collaboration in addressing issues as they arise, always focused on finding solutions.

• Comfortable using Word, Excel, and other relevant tools to manage daily operations.
• Ability to commute to Itasca, IL for daily operations.
