LJP is seeking a full-time Equipment Operator for 2nd Shift: 3:00-11:30 PM, Monday-Friday.
As an Equipment Operator at LJP Waste Solutions, you will play a crucial role in supporting our environmental solutions operations by efficiently handling, processing, and transporting waste materials. This role involves operating a variety of equipment, including loaders, forklifts, skid steers, and balers, to ensure the safe and effective processing of waste. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, reliable, and able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.

Operate Equipment: Safely operate various types of equipment, such as loaders, skid steers, forklifts, and balers, to sort, move, and load waste materials.

Waste Processing: Perform waste separation, loading, and transportation tasks, ensuring that materials are properly sorted according to company and environmental standards.

Maintenance and Inspections: Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment, report issues promptly, and perform basic repairs as necessary to ensure equipment is in good working condition.

Safety Compliance: Follow all company, state, and federal safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Report any safety hazards or incidents immediately.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of daily operations, equipment usage, and materials handled. Communicate with supervisors about workflow, equipment needs, or safety concerns.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with other operators, drivers, and team members to ensure efficient operations and adherence to schedules and goals.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in equipment operation (waste management, construction, or recycling industry preferred).

Certifications: Forklift certification and valid driver’s license (required); additional certifications a plus.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50+ pounds, work in various weather conditions, and perform repetitive movements.

Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to follow safety protocols, and effective communication skills.

Work Environment: Ability to work in an outdoor setting with varying temperatures and conditions, and in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment.
