2nd SHIFT KENNEL POSITION - WEEKDAYS

Happy Tails Learning Center for Dogs is hiring a reliable Part-Time Kennel Assistant to work our 2nd shift weekday evening shifts.

The Shift

• Monday-Thursday every week
• 3:00 PM – 9:30PM/10:00 PM (approximately 6–7 hours per shift)
• You will work alone during your shift, so strong reliability and self-motivation are essential.

Responsibilities

• Remove empty food bowls
• Clean up messes and accidents
• Some light cleaning
• Provide individual potty breaks for dogs (typically 25–35 dogs in kennel)
• Close the building, secure all doors and windows, and set the alarm

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Willing and able to work with dogs of all sizes and temperaments
• Comfortable working outdoors for a majority of the shift (dress for the weather)
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Extremely reliable — calling off is difficult because you work alone and we care for dogs
• Strong work ethic and a “go-with-the-flow” attitude (dog care can be unpredictable)
• Reliable transportation
• Prior kennel or dog care experience is a plus, but not required

Important Note: This position requires working some holidays.
