Essential Functions of Role:
Responsible for a variety of activities within the Logistics Department. This role is responsible for all production reporting into MTP’s business software MFG/PRO. Position works closely with Finance, Purchasing, Shipping, Receiving, Traffic, Scheduling and Sales.
Accountable for:
Duties include Purchase Order receipt transactions; Perform all Sales Order shipment confirmations; Generate the Bill of Lading and Shipment Manifest documents for all outbound loads; Interact with Carriers regarding product availability and appointment times; Assist with cycle counting and inventory adjustment activities (F1, R1, Freezer, Work Center locations, D1 and D2); Perform inventory transfers to and from outside storage; The printing of all in-house labels; Responsible for all production reporting into MFG/PRO; Work with operations to ensure all production reporting is timely & accurate; Understanding routing/specs/bill of material to aid in production resolutions while performing data collection, data entry, and production reporting on behalf of Accounting/Finance; Perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
High School Graduate or GED recipient. College preferred; 1-3 years previous experience in Shipping, Inventory Control, and Logistics; Computer proficiency & detail oriented; Previous computer system experience in an ERP environment desired; Proficiency with MFG/PRO business software preferred; Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment; Must be detail oriented and work with minimal to no errors; Possession of good comprehension of data collection and reporting a must; Understanding of production processes and work flow as they pertain to work order reporting and repetitive transactions; Understanding of routings/specs/bill of materials that will aid in resolving any production conflicts; Excellent interpersonal skills; Ability to speak, read, and write in the English language required; Bi-lingual in both English and Spanish preferred; Excellent mathematical skills. Must successfully pass a mathematical test.
