2nd Shift Maintenance Technician

Summary:

Essentra is looking for a full-time 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician for Flippin, AR who will report to the Maintenance Manager, and be responsible for performing maintenance and/or repairs on all manufacturing or related process and facilities equipment and troubleshoot basic pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems. The hours are 4PM – 12AM. There is a 20% shift differential for working the second shift.

Typical Accountabilities:

  • Install and maintain production machines and facility equipment.
  • Perform emergency and scheduled maintenance repairs.
  • Execute basic machinist duties and mechanical tasks.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Work with PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.).
  • Read manuals and work orders to perform maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose issues, replace/repair parts, and make adjustments.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and maintain records.
  • Perform plumbing and carpentry tasks.
  • Use hand/power tools, meters, and material handling equipment.
  • Identify and report faulty operations or materials.
  • Maintain safety standards and clean work areas.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9000 requirements.
  • Communicate improvement opportunities to management.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of maintenance experience.
  • Injection molding equipment experience preferred.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb throughout the shift.
  • Able to lift/move up to 20 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Strong vision capabilities (close, distance, color, depth perception, focus).
  • Skilled in troubleshooting various systems.
  • Competent in basic machine shop operations.
  • Basic understanding of electrical circuits.
