POSITION SUMMARY: The Quality Technician monitors the production process through testing and inspection to verify that process parameters, part dimensions and attributes, or other outputs meet pre-determined quality specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Perform and document in-coming, in-process, and final inspections on the process and its output product.
· Prepare article inspection reports, product certifications, and other quality documentation in support of product delivery and customer requirements.
· Document any non-conformances and communicate with production technicians and/or management allowing for continuous training and improvement.
· Participate in the corrective and preventative action programs.
· Assist with process validation activities
· Participate in the company’s internal audit efforts.
· Monitor and calibrate process and/or testing equipment.
· Assist in developing, maintaining, and recommending modifications to internal quality control standards, test methods, and visual inspection aides.
· Utilize testing equipment such as calipers, micrometers, roughness testers, hardness gauges, thickness gauges, and other testing equipment as necessary.
· Record and analyze test results in order to decide whether to certify or reject specific products.
· Use testing data to solve production issues and recommend improvements.
· Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned such as incoming logistics, electropolish, ad clean line.

· EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: A High School diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a quality role is preferred. Previous experience in the medical device or pharmaceuticals industries a plus.
· COMPUTER SKILLS: Proficiency in software applications, including but not limited to MS office applications and ERP systems.
· LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, specifications, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, suppliers, and customers.
· MATHEMATICAL and REASONING SKILLS: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, analysis of variance, and statistical inference.
· PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; utilize hands to hold, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision.
· WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The Team Member will need to work safely with toxic, acidic, and caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
