2nd Shift Residential Reentry Specialist

Job Overview
The 2nd shift Residential Reentry Specialist is responsible for conducting drug testing of clients at Dismas House of Saint Louis Residential Reentry Center. The primary focus of this role is to ensure that residents maintain accountability and expectations of compliance. Verifying home and work locations may also be required as part of the position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Document incidents such as failure to appear for visits, inability to provide specimens for testing, and non-compliance with program requirements.
  • Perform urine toxicology specimen collection, adhering strictly to testing protocols, as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with program requirements by conducting regular drug screenings.
  • May verify residents’ employment and home locations to ensure they meet contract standards and comply with program guidelines, as directed by the supervisor.
  • Complete and document on-site home and work visits in line with program policies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Relevant experience or skills may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Drug testing and specimen collection experience preferred. An Associate degree in criminal justice, social services, or a related field is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Must be capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with basic computer proficiency.
  • Physical ability to reach, stretch, bend, walk, and stand for extended periods as part of the daily duties.
  • Ability to follow rules and regulations, as well as compliance tasks outlined in the Federal Bureau of Prisons’ Statement of Work.
