Pay Rate: $18.55/hr
Position Overview: Measure and cut fabric at a sufficient pace to keep the cutter working continuously. Lay fabrics according to the marker info, and established spreading guidelines
Essential Job Functions:- Process markers following priorities set on your inbox
- Gathering material from location or from material handler ( in the case of material handler absence)
- Measuring and preparing table for cutting
- Lifting rolls of material into cradle
- Set up machine with lengths and number of layers
- Follow all guidelines for equipment preventative maintenance
- Follow all safety guidelines in place
- Be able to identify good side vs bad side, material flaws, and different color shades of fabric
- Partner with the cutting operator to set up spreads to the cutting machine
Non-Essential Job Functions:- Maintaining scrap bins
- Rotating stock materials
- Other duties as assigned
Training:- On the job training; must be fast-paced
Qualifications:Education & Certifications: High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience: 0 – 1 years in similar field
Key Competencies: Problem solving, positive attitude, teamwork, dependability, initiative, accurate
Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for duration of shift, and able to lift heavy bundles up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions: Temperature-regulated plant environment.
