Summary
The Transportation Supervisor position is responsible for overseeing operations largely during the second shift which can include responding to customer/driver issues and inquiries (phone calls and emails), addressing equipment issues, and monitoring and coordinating driver activities. The Transportation Supervisor is the primary communicator between operations and outside parties such as receivers, shippers, and brokers. The Transportation Supervisor will also prepare customer billings and driver payroll on a weekly basis. This position provides legendary customer service to various departments within the Company and to parties outside the Company.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Manage phone calls, email flow, and customer inquiries.
· Coordinate driver utilization / relocation as needed to ensure that all required services are provided.
· Monitor and manage drivers, customer needs, Yard View, etc.
· Assist with trailer pool reconciliation, trailer repairs, and breakdowns.
· Effectively communicate in both verbal and written forms with customers, employees, peers, and management.
· Capability to multi-task, be highly organized, excellent time management and follow up practices.
· Manage billing process and record keeping.
· Follow all safety and security procedures.
· Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Education
A high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities of this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
