Job Overview
Presidential Learning Center is seeking a passionate, nurturing, and energetic Preschool Teacher for our 3-year-old classroom. The ideal candidate must love working with young children, maintain a safe and engaging learning environment, and support the social, emotional, and educational growth of every child. This teacher will help prepare students for future academic success through hands-on learning, structure, creativity, and positive classroom management.
Qualifications
- Must have a minimum of 45 DCF hours completed
- CDA (Child Development Associate) preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Previous experience working in a preschool or childcare setting preferred
- Must meet all DCF background screening requirements
- CPR/First Aid Certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Must be dependable, professional, and team-oriented
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
- Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and classroom activities
- Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Always supervise children and maintain proper classroom ratios
- Conduct daily classroom routines including meals, centers, outdoor play, and nap time
- Communicate professionally with parents regarding student progress and behavior
- Maintain accurate attendance, incident reports, and classroom documentation
- Ensure compliance with all DCF and center policies and procedures
- Work collaboratively with administration and fellow teachers
- Encourage positive behavior and use developmentally appropriate discipline techniques

Schedule
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
