3-Year-Old Preschool Teacher

Job Overview
Presidential Learning Center is seeking a passionate, nurturing, and energetic Preschool Teacher for our 3-year-old classroom. The ideal candidate must love working with young children, maintain a safe and engaging learning environment, and support the social, emotional, and educational growth of every child. This teacher will help prepare students for future academic success through hands-on learning, structure, creativity, and positive classroom management.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 45 DCF hours completed
• CDA (Child Development Associate) preferred
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• Previous experience working in a preschool or childcare setting preferred
• Must meet all DCF background screening requirements
• CPR/First Aid Certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Must be dependable, professional, and team-oriented

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
• Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and classroom activities
• Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
• Always supervise children and maintain proper classroom ratios
• Conduct daily classroom routines including meals, centers, outdoor play, and nap time
• Communicate professionally with parents regarding student progress and behavior
• Maintain accurate attendance, incident reports, and classroom documentation
• Ensure compliance with all DCF and center policies and procedures
• Work collaboratively with administration and fellow teachers
• Encourage positive behavior and use developmentally appropriate discipline techniques

Schedule

• Full-Time
• Monday–Friday

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
