3D Animation Director/Manager/Supervisor

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Animation Manager to lead and guide a team of highly skilled animators. This position will manage a team of animators, ensuring production schedules are met, checking quality and safety of animation, and performing finishing exports. This position may also meet with clients to gather show design requirements, working with clients to develop storyboards.

The position is up to 100% remote, must reside in the United Sates. Work is highly collaborative and reports to the Creative Director. Must be flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

Job Duties:

· Lead and manage team of 6-10 3D Animators and graphic designers, assigning tasks and ensuring all production timelines are met.

· Perform QA/QC of animations through every step of the process.

· Finishing of animations to align with the real world flight location and exporting final files for handoff to pilots.

· Meeting with high level clients to determine their drone light show design requirements and clearly convey the limitations and timeline of the art form.

· Working with graphic designers, creating and approving storyboards.

· Conceptualizing images, Illustrating, drawing, developing designs for animations and motion graphics.

· Leading the animation team to bring the storyboards and client’s vision to life.

Required Skills:
· Extremely organized, keeping track of high volume of projects.

· Managing team of direct reports.

· Professionalism in working directly with clients.

· Great attention to detail.

· Excellent creativity and originality.

· Working knowledge of the principles of animation.

· Solid working knowledge of Blender 3D.

· PowerPoint / Canva.

· Ability to work in a variety of artistic styles.

· Graphic design skills with an emphasis on motion.

· Ability to take and apply direction and changes.

· Ability to work on tight timelines.

· Passionate about drones and art.

Experience:

At least 1 years in leadership role producing creative products.

Schedule:

· Full Time Position, minimum 40 hours per week

· Primarily Monday-Friday, ability to work weekends as needed
