We are building a team dedicated to creating engaging 3D animation for digital platforms. Our goal is to craft fun, imaginative and high-quality YouTube content, and we are looking for a talented animator who thrives in a creative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and animate 3D characters, scenes and assets by aligning with given storyboards, scripts and creative briefs.
• Collaborate with storyboard artists, scriptwriters, riggers, modelers and editors to bring narrated content to life.
• Create key-frame animation, ensure timing and pacing suit the target audience (e.g., timing, simple expressive character movement).
• Work on rigging/skin weighting (if required) or collaborate with rigging team to ensure character movement is suited for target segment.
• Fine-tune character expressions, lip-sync (if dialogue), and gestures to match content (clear, simple, expressive).
• Apply understanding of camera placement, lighting, rendering settings to ensure visuals are polished and suitable for online distribution (YouTube).
• Ensure final output meets format requirements (resolution, frame rate, file size) for YouTube uploads.
• Participate in review/feedback cycles, make revisions based on creative feedback, and adhere to production deadlines.
• Maintain and organise animation files, version control, and follow the production pipeline or workflows defined by the studio.
• Occasionally assist in asset reuse, scene setup or background/prop animation to support the production team.

Required Skills & Experience

• 2-3 years of professional experience working as a 3D animator (or CG animator) in a studio or production environment.
• Strong proficiency in one or more industry-standard 3D animation software packages, such as Autodesk Maya, Blender, Cinema 4D or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of animation fundamentals: timing, spacing, weight, squash & stretch, arcs, appeal, staging etc.
• Experience in character animation: facial expressions, body language, gesture (friendly, clear, expressive).
• Good story sense: ability to interpret a storyboard/script and translate it into engaging visuals.
• Knowledge of rigging basics and character setup (or working closely with rigging team) to ensure proper movement and deformation.
• Understanding of lighting, rendering and compositing workflows (for 3D scenes) so that the output is YouTube-ready and visually polished.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, take feedback constructively, and manage multiple shots/tasks with deadlines.
• Good communication skills — able to understand creative briefs and articulate animation choices.
• Portfolio/demo reel required: must demonstrate at least one full character animation piece (preferably 3D) showing movement, emotion, appeal.
• Familiarity with delivering content for digital platforms (YouTube) and understanding of export formats, resolution, frame rates, file sizes is a plus.

Preferred (but not mandatory)

• Prior experience creating content for children or YouTube kids-audience.
• Knowledge of motion graphics or 2D-3D hybrid animation (helpful for simple transitions/cards).
• Basic video editing skills or at least awareness of post-production pipeline.
• Familiarity with assets reuse, template scene setup to speed up production.
• Understanding of YouTube metadata, optimization for children’s content (though this is more marketing side, still helpful).
