3D Design & Prototyping Technician
(3D Printing & Silicone/Rubber Chocolate Mold Specialist)

We are looking for a skilled and creative 3D Design & Prototyping Technician with hands-on experience in 3D modeling, 3D printing, and silicone/rubber mold fabrication. This role specifically focuses on creating small 3D-printed models and prototypes for silicone/rubber chocolate mold production.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing detailed 3D models, producing high-quality printed prototypes, and developing precise silicone molds used for chocolate and confectionery applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop small-scale 3D models for chocolate mold prototyping and production
• Prepare and optimize files for 3D printing (slicing, supports, scaling, etc.)
• Operate and maintain 3D printers (FDM, SLA, and resin-based systems)
• Perform post-processing of printed parts including cleaning, sanding, curing, and finishing
• Create high-quality silicone/rubber molds from 3D-printed prototypes for chocolate production
• Select suitable materials for molds and casting processes
• Troubleshoot design and printing issues to improve quality and efficiency
• Collaborate with design and production teams to refine products
• Maintain organized records of designs, prototypes, and production processes

Required Skills & Qualifications

· Proven experience in 3D design, modeling, and prototyping

· Strong knowledge of:

• Blender
• ArtCAM
• Adobe Illustrator

· Familiarity with additional software/tools such as:

• Fusion 360
• SolidWorks
• ZBrush

· Experience with 3D printing technologies (FDM, SLA, DLP)

· Hands-on experience with PLA filament, silicone materials (Platinum Silicone Liquid 25 & 50), and rubber mold-making/casting techniques

· Understanding of materials such as resins, silicones, and plastics

· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and concepts

· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in chocolate mold production, confectionery molds, or food-grade silicone mold fabrication
• Experience in product prototyping or small-scale manufacturing
• Knowledge of CNC machining or laser cutting
• Basic understanding of mechanical design principles
• Experience with rendering and visualization tools

Work Environment

• Workshop/lab environment with 3D printers and mold-making equipment
• May involve handling chemicals such as resins and silicones while following proper safety procedures

Salary: AED 4,000 – 5,000/month

Accommodation: Can be discussed during the interview

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
