Core responsibilities
- Conceptualization: Develop creative and strategic design concepts for exhibition spaces based on client briefs and project goals.
- 3D Modeling and Visualization: Create detailed 2D plans and 3D models and renderings using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, 3ds Max, SketchUp, or Cinema 4D.
- Project Management: Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources from conception to installation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with clients, curators, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and present designs.
- Technical Oversight: Liaise with production teams, select appropriate materials, and ensure the final build aligns with the design and technical specifications.
- Problem-Solving: Address design and technical issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Stay current: Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and innovations in exhibition design.
Key skills and qualifications
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in 3D modeling, CAD, and visualization software (e.g., AutoCAD, 3ds Max, SketchUp, Cinema 4D).
- Design Skills: Strong conceptual thinking, creativity, and a keen eye for detail.
- Software Proficiency: Competency in design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Project Management: Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for client and team collaboration.
