3D Landscape Designer

Position Summary
Earthscapes Garden Room is seeking a creative, client-focused, and deadline-driven Landscape Designer to join our team. This role is responsible for designing residential landscapes, meeting directly with clients, and guiding them through the design and sales process. The ideal candidate will possess both artistic vision and practical knowledge of plant material, design implementation, and construction timelines.
In addition to creating beautiful, functional outdoor spaces, the Landscape Designer plays a key role in project planning, documentation, and internal coordination to ensure smooth handoffs to the installation team.
Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Sales
- Meet with clients to assess needs, gather site information, and understand project goals
- Present design concepts and revisions professionally and persuasively
- Sell landscape design and installation services by demonstrating value, vision, and expertise
- Build long-term client relationships through excellent service and communication
- Set realistic expectations for design capabilities and deliverables
Design & Documentation
- Create landscape designs using VIP3D Structure Studios
- Select appropriate plant material and hardscape elements based on site conditions, budget, and aesthetic goals
- Prepare design proposals, plant palettes, and supporting visual materials for presentations
- Complete all documents required for the internal Blue Job Jackets (used by field crews), including scaled drawings, plant/material lists, and installation notes
- Ensure all documentation is clear, accurate, and ready for execution by the field team
- Ensure all plans, documentation etc. is loaded into SharePoint
Project Management Support
- Communicate project timelines and permit requirements for new construction homes
- Coordinate with the Design Operations Manager and Field Project Manager regarding upcoming jobs and scheduling needs
- Adhere to internal design deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Monitor progress on sold jobs and support smooth handoffs from design to install phase

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
