Urgent opening for the post of 3D Modeling & Texturing Artist (Blender) – Animal & Environment Specialist for Lower Parel Location.

Role Summary:

Lead the creation of high-quality 3D assets in Blender with a specialized focus on animal modeling (realistic or stylized) and environment/background design. Deliver production-ready models, textures, and scenes that meet strict visual and technical standards across animation, games, or immersive media.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed animal models with accurate anatomy, proportion, and surface definition.
  • Sculpt and retopologize high-poly and low-poly models optimized for animation or real-time rendering.
  • Produce realistic PBR textures using Blender, Substance Painter, or equivalent tools.
  • Design environment and background assets, including natural landscapes, vegetation, terrain, and structural elements.
  • Create optimized UV layouts and efficient texture bakes.
  • Ensure art style consistency across characters, animals, props, and environments.
  • Collaborate with riggers and animators to ensure clean deformation and topology suitability.
  • Prepare asset export pipelines (LOD creation, collision meshes, engine-ready packaging if required).
  • Troubleshoot shading, material, and rendering issues in Blender or external engines (Unreal/Unity).
  • Contribute to documentation for asset specs, workflows, and naming conventions.

Required Expertise:

  • Advanced proficiency in Blender for modeling, sculpting, UV mapping, shading, and rendering.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating animal modeling, anatomy accuracy, and creature-detail work.
  • Proven capability in environment/background creation (natural landscapes, terrains, vegetation, scene composition).
  • Deep understanding of topology, edge flow, and performance optimization.
  • Proficiency with PBR pipelines, texture creation, baking, and material authoring.
  • Strong visual sense for form, scale, silhouette, and environmental storytelling.
  • Experience with asset integration into real-time engines (Unreal or Unity) is a plus.

Experience Requirements:

  • 2-4 years in 3D asset creation for games, animation, VFX, or visualization.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex animal and environment assets independently.

Performance Metrics:

  • Anatomical accuracy and clarity of animal models
  • Visual quality and optimization of environments
  • Consistency in texel density, UV layouts, and material fidelity
  • Scene performance (poly count, draw calls, texture efficiency)
  • Speed of iteration and dependability against deadlines
