Teakdecking Systems, is an employee-owned high-end marine manufacturer that designs, engineers, manufactures and installs custom "one-of-a-kind" teak and composite decks to the yachting community.
We are seeking a skilled 3D Scan Technician / Digitizer with a passion for the marine industry to join our team. As a 3D Scanner Technician / Digitizer, you will be responsible for traveling to various locations within the United States and internationally to capture high-quality 3D scans of motor yachts and sailboats. Your technical skills and expertise will be critical in ensuring the accuracy and precision of the resulting digital models, which will be used for a range of purposes, including design, engineering, and documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Travel to various locations within the United States and internationally to conduct 3D scanning of motor yachts and sailboats.
- Use cutting-edge 3D scanning technology and software to capture detailed and accurate digital models of vessels.
- Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to ensure that the digital models meet project requirements and specifications.
- Work closely with clients and stakeholders to understand project goals and ensure that deliverables are met on time and on budget.
- Maintain accurate records of all scans, including metadata and other relevant information.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure that project milestones are met and expectations are managed.
Requirements:
- This position is based in the Sarasota Office, however, will require travel and overnight stays nationally and internationally. A shift differential will apply when traveling overnight.
- Ability to travel extensively within the United States and internationally (up to 50% of the time).
- Possession of a valid passport and ability to travel internationally without restriction or the ability to obtain a valid passport.
- Strong technical skills and experience with 3D scanning technology and software.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD (or similar software) is a must.
- Familiarity with marine vessels and the marine industry a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with team members and clients.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
