Responsibilities

• Develop engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in literacy, math, science, social studies, and other core subjects.
• Implement effective classroom management strategies to create a positive learning environment that promotes respect, responsibility, and collaboration.
• Utilize learning technology tools to enhance instruction and support diverse learning styles.
• Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparations.
• Provide individualized support and tutoring to students needing extra help, including those with special education needs or on the autism spectrum.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to support student growth, behavior management, and educational goals.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and behavioral observations for administrative purposes.

Experience

• Prior classroom experience working with elementary-aged children in grades 3 and 4 is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability in curriculum development, lesson planning, and literacy education is highly valued.
• Experience working with students with diverse needs—including special education or early intervention—is preferred.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
