Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic 3rd Grade Teacher to join our dedicated educational team for the 2026/2027 school year. Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in literacy, math, science, social studies, and physical education.
- Create an inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and effective classroom management strategies.
- Use learning technology tools to enhance instruction and support diverse learning styles.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum development initiatives and integrate best teaching practices.
- Provide tutoring and additional support for students requiring early intervention or special education services, including working with children with autism.
- Mentor new teachers or interns, sharing best practices in classroom management, lesson planning, and behavior management.
- Incorporate library services and literacy education techniques to foster reading skills and a love of books.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, Montessori methods, or early childhood education principles.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress, behavioral concerns, and classroom activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; valid teaching certification for elementary education required.
- Proven classroom experience with elementary-aged students, preferably in private school settings.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies.
- Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and standardized testing procedures.
- Proficiency in working with learning technology platforms and digital educational tools.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, parents, and students’ families.
- Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a nurturing environment.
- Knowledge of special education practices, behavior management techniques, and working with individuals with autism is highly desirable.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods for diverse learners including early childhood education approaches such as Montessori methods if applicable. Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
