Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-
General office duties including filing.
-
Answering telephone.
-
Contacting customers with schedule changes or delays.
-
Monitor drivers on route and check in with driver if there are any issues.
-
Ensure routes are running on time.
-
Handle driver complaints or concerns.
-
Handle store/customer complaints or concerns.
-
Confirm removed or added stops, list trailer issues, get updates on drivers running behind on route and update transportation via email.

Contact stores/customers to give updates throughout routes and notify any changes, delays, or issues.

Might be required to assist drivers with hotel issues (finding a hotel and receipt confirmation).

Review all paperwork from return driver packet and submit to appropriate departments.

Assign routes in forward thinking program.

Assemble driver packets - all invoices, pay sheet, pre-trip, route survey, return sheet and any other necessary documents for each route.

Update backhaul spreadsheet.

Create route check for following day.

Monitor all drivers are arriving according to dispatch times.

Utilize driver pool to cover call-offs or open routes prior to assigning routes to the standby drivers.

Experience and Qualifications:
-
Must be able to work independently.
-
Good computer skills including Excel and Word.
-
Must possess excellent customer service skills.

Good verbal and written skills.
-
Experience in the transportation industry preferred.
Physical Qualifications:
-
Regularly work in an office setting but may be required to walk long distances within a warehouse.

May experience exposure to freezer, refrigerated and dry sections of warehouse.

Sit, bend, reach, casual dexterity for document processing and verbal and written communications.

Occasional warehouse environment with noise, dust, odors and fluctuating temperatures.

Regularly required to use hands and fingers to feel or operate objects, tools, controls, phones and computers.

Frequently required to sit, stand, speak and hear.
