3rd Shift Feeder

We specialize in large-format display solutions, including life-sized stand-up figures, header cards, counter cards, pole stackers, banners, display bins and posters.

Candidate Qualifications & Job Specifications: Philipp is looking for a full-time 3rd Shift Feeder. A feeder will select the correct stock, monitor stock usage, monitor the stock quality, and know how to operate or adjust feeder settings to keep the feeder running smoothly. Additionally, the feeder will complete the associated paperwork needed to track stock and assist the crew with general print tasks and maintenance.

Responsibilities:

· Pull the correct stock quantity need for the job

· Load stock into feeder

· Adjust feeder settings to avoid paper jams (feeder/tension controls)

· Identify and watch for paper defects

· Communicate any paper defects to first pressman and stock inventory personnel

· Clearly label any stock loads that have known flaws and alert stock purchasing personnel

· Assist in installing and removal of plates at the beginning and ending of run

· Assist in press wash ups

· Assist in cleaning blanket, cylinders, rollers, plates, ink fountains, and fountain trays during press run as needed

· Help flop loads on two-sided work

· Assist as needed during maintenance or press repairs

· Assist in getting ink and coating out and putting ink and coating away

· Help monitor inventory of press supplies

· Help with chemical room maintenance and make sure chemicals are clearly labeled

· Help keep press and surrounding areas clean and tidy

Physical Requirements:

· Standing for long periods of time

· Reaching with hands and arms

· Balance, climbing, stooping, kneeling and crouching are required

· Regularly lift and or move up to 50 pounds

· Occasionally lift and or move 100 pounds with assistance

· Good hand-eye coordination and color vision
