Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented 3rd MedTech to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, and home care environments. This role involves supporting patients with diverse needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's, and developmental disabilities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. The 3rd MedTech will work closely with nursing staff to assist with medical procedures, documentation, and patient monitoring using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Candidates with experience in medical documentation, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and familiarity with EMR/EHR systems are highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient care activities in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care settings.
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately and report any abnormalities to nursing staff.
- Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including mobility assistance and hygiene care.
- Administer medications and treatments following prescribed protocols and HIPAA regulations.
- Perform specialized care tasks such as tube feeding, catheter care, and medication administration.
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical documentation using EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner.
- Support patients with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer’s by providing compassionate care tailored to memory care needs.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and infection control protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
Skills
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or home care settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and patient care procedures.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.
- Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for documentation and record keeping.
- Ability to monitor vital signs accurately and recognize signs of distress or deterioration.
- Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate approach toward patients of all ages and conditions.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and patient interaction.
- Ability to work independently while adhering to established protocols for safety and quality of care.
