Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented 401k Retirement Plan Administrator to oversee the administration of small plan DC retirement plans. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for managing a dedicated book of DC /401k retirement plans, for a leading retirement plan Third-Party Administrator. Candidate must have prior experience in the small DC market, administering plans (in the under 100 life market), for a retirement plan provider, preferably carrying a dedicated book of business, and directly performing ADP/ACP testing and preparing 5500 filings for clients.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day administration of 401(k) retirement plans, including processing contributions, distributions, loans, and plan amendments.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations, including ERISA and IRS rules.
- Utilize compliance testing software and 5500 software, and various CRM systems, common to the industry.
- Provide client-consulting on their retirement plan/ DC plan needs.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to employee inquiries regarding plan options, benefits, and account management.
- Collaborate with internal plan document and distribution processing teams, in a team environment, for client success.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Defined Contribution retirement plan administration with a focus on retirement plans such as 401(k) or similar programs.
- Strong knowledge of ERISA regulations, IRS rules governing qualified plans, HIPAA privacy standards, and employment & labor law.
- Proficiency in performing ADP/ACP testing, in plan compliance software programs.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively explain complex plan details to employees at all levels.
- Data analysis skills for regulatory reporting, audit preparation, and plan performance evaluation.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Experience preparing 5500 filings, for clients.
- Prior experience in the small plan retirement 401k market (plans under 100 lives) carrying a case load.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
