4th Grade ELA and History Teacher-(short-term contract)

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary Teacher to join our team as a temporary replacement for a 4th grade teacher on leave. The position would last from November 3rd, 2025 to approximately December 15th, 2025. It is possible that the contract would be extended if needed. We are looking for a teacher with current Florida teaching certification in Elementary Education and it is preferred that the teacher has Reading Endorsement on their teaching license as well. The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and academic growth. This role involves developing and implementing curriculum, managing classroom dynamics, and supporting the diverse needs of students, including those with special education requirements.

Duties

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with educational standards and cater to various learning styles.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively, creating a safe and supportive environment for all students.
• Utilize learning technology to enhance instructional delivery and student interaction.
• Conduct assessments, including standardized testing, to evaluate student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
• Provide individualized support through tutoring and mentoring for students who require additional assistance.
• Collaborate with parents, colleagues, and educational administrators to ensure comprehensive support for each child's development.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and behavior, providing feedback to students and parents as needed.
• Engage in continuous professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Skills

Pay: $7,174.02 per year
