4th Grade Writing Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated 4th Grade Writing Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a love for literacy. In this role, you will create engaging lesson plans, support students’ writing development, and cultivate a positive classroom environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and effective communication. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive writing curricula tailored to 4th-grade students, integrating standards-based objectives and innovative teaching strategies.
  • Design engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, writing skills, and critical thinking exercises to enhance student learning outcomes.
  • Provide individualized support through tutoring and mentoring, especially for students with diverse learning needs such as those with autism or in early intervention programs.
  • Assess student progress regularly using formative and summative assessments, including standardized testing preparation, and adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Foster a classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management, collaboration, and respect among students.
  • Incorporate learning technology tools to enhance literacy and writing instruction, making lessons interactive and accessible for all learners.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development initiatives, including library services integration and special education accommodations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Elementary Education, or a related field; advanced certifications preferred.
  • Proven classroom experience working with elementary-aged children, especially in 4th grade settings.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to teach proofreading, editing, and composition techniques effectively.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
  • Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management strategies.
  • Familiarity with learning technology platforms and tools used in literacy education.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and specialists to support student success.

Pay: $48,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
