Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Social Studies /Science Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment that fosters student growth in understanding social studies concepts. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state standards and curriculum goals.
• Facilitate engaging classroom discussions and activities that promote critical thinking and analysis.
• Assess student progress through standardized testing, assignments, and observations to tailor instruction accordingly.
• Provide mentoring and support to students, fostering a positive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and best teaching practices.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a conducive learning atmosphere.
• Support students with diverse needs, including those in special education or with autism, through differentiated instruction.
• Utilize learning technology to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate regularly with parents about progress.

Skills

• Strong proofreading and writing skills for creating clear instructional materials.
• Experience in curriculum development tailored to various learning styles.
• Proficient in classroom management techniques to ensure a respectful learning environment.
• Background in early childhood education or childhood development is beneficial.
• Ability to integrate literacy education and math into social studies lessons effectively.
• Experience working with students of varying abilities, including tutoring and early intervention strategies.
• Knowledge of Montessori methods or private school experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
